Church plant at Fornebu
Home Church is involved as a parent church for the church plant Fornebu Misjonskirke
Fornebu is a new district with 7,000 inhabitants. In a few years 30,000 people will live in this area. When people relocate and start-up it also gives many opportunities to create other new things. We at Home Church want church planting to be part of our identity and find it very exciting to be able to plant a new church in a whole new district.
Anne Hansli from the Misjonskirke is the leader of the church plant at Fornebu. Hansli has a vision of establishing a congregation focusing on small groups and larger fellowship, serving in the local community. Anne Hansli already has contact with a large group of people through “after school”, knitting club, bible group, prayer meeting and family gatherings.
Home Church’s responsibility as a parent church will be to help with human resources, provide financial support, be prayer partners, and support leaders.
Misjonskirken Norge supported the Home Church in the planting process. Now we find it inspiring to be able to be part of this exciting new planting that we have a lot in common with. Here our mission assignment becomes more important than church affiliation.
We think we have a lot to learn from each other and look forward to work together.
We pray and dream of a large and vibrant church at Fornebu!
